USPS or the United States Postal Services is an independent agency tapped by the government to specifically provide postal services in the United States. The USPS was first started mailing way back 1775. The USPS is provided by the government to provide postal services for the people of the nation.

The USPS system has been patronized by patronized by many American citizens as the rate for the mailing is quite more affordable than any other private mailing agencies. However, due to the impact of technology to the mailing word, the USPS transactions have laid low.

Since they are run by the government but as a separate federal agency, they do not use the tax dollars for their expenses. According to studies, the USPS is able to serve almost half of all of the mail in the world, thus giving them annual revenue of more or less $75 million.
